Community Collaboration for Change
In Ward 90 and surrounds of Johannesburg, many individuals and families face daily struggles that impact their well-being and hinder them from reaching their full potential. Challenges such as homelessness, substance abuse, limited job opportunities, and lack of access to essential resources are just some of the barriers the community endures. Cross the Divide is committed to not only addressing these issues but also supporting the community by fostering employment opportunities, maintaining our shared spaces, and promoting safety.
What we do
Community
We support a range of initiatives for all people in and around our community. Our initiatives include programs that support the maintenance, safety and improvement of our parks and our community.
Collaboration
We believe in the power of collective action, working together with local organisations, businesses, and community members to create sustainable solutions that address the challenges our community faces
Care
We support the livelihoods and care of displaced individuals, bridging the divide between poverty and opportunity with hope. We tackle these issues head-on, providing the support and resources necessary to bridge this gap.
OUR PARTNERS
Our committed partners make our work possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with so many values-aligned partners.
How We Solve the Problem
Cross the Divide follows a non-denominational, non-racial, holistic and community-driven approach. We don’t just offer temporary relief; we strive for sustainable change by addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals. By collaborating with local residents, businesses, and organisations, we harness the collective strength of our community to drive impactful change. Our unique blend of care, evidence-based strategies, and active community engagement ensures that we make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
