As the year draws to a close, we at Cross the Divide are filled with gratitude and joy for what we’ve accomplished together. Our year-end feeding scheme day was a resounding success, marked by the distribution of 150 hampers and a heartwarming meal that brought smiles to the faces of our beneficiaries.
The day was a testament to the power of unity and generosity. Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we served a delicious roast chicken lunch that everyone enjoyed. Alongside the meal, we distributed backpacks filled with essential items, providing a much-needed boost to those in need.
What’s in the Backpacks?
Each backpack was carefully packed with love and thoughtfulness, containing:
- Epap or Powapack (donated)
- Tinned pilchards
- 2-minute noodles
- Peanut butter
- Biscuits and a lollipop for a sweet treat
- Soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a face cloth
- A razor, Vaseline, and roll-on deodorant for personal care
- Plantain chips (donated)
These items are more than just provisions; they represent hope, dignity, and care for our fellow community members.
Voices of Gratitude
One of the most touching moments of the day came from Silence, a long-time beneficiary who has grown into a vital member of our team. He shared his heartfelt thoughts, saying:
“I was so overjoyed to see the way we distributed those hampers. I wish God can give you more strength to do more in the coming year. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to the success of this NPO.”
His words encapsulate the spirit of Cross the Divide: fostering growth, empowerment, and genuine human connection.
A Collective Effort
None of this would have been possible without the incredible contributions of so many individuals and organizations. Whether you donated goods, volunteered your time, or simply spread the word about our work, you’ve made a difference. We are deeply grateful for your support.
As we reflect on this successful end to the year, we are reminded of the power of community, collaboration, and care—the very pillars of our organization.
Wishing You a Peaceful Christmas
From all of us at Cross the Divide, we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyful Christmas season. May 2025 bring even greater opportunities to come together and make a difference.
Here’s to continuing the journey of upliftment, empowerment, and care in the year ahead.
With gratitude,
The Cross the Divide Team
